Young Motorcyclist Punches Older Minibus Driver After Collision in Pattaya
Yesterday, May 23rd, in Pattaya, a Thai motorcyclist and a minibus driver were involved in an altercation following a minor collision on Thepprasit Road. The incident unfolded at the entrance to the Colosseum Theatre in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province.
Upon reaching the scene, rescue workers and Pattaya police discovered the minibus with visible damage to its front, resulting from a collision with a motorcycle driven by 28-year-old Mr. Kritsana Thomkham. The minibus driver, identified as 61-year-old Mr. Thananan Sophanudompat, and Mr. Kritsana emerged unharmed from the collision.
However, tensions flared as the two parties discussed the accident. Allegedly, Mr. Kritsana, the motorcyclist, punched Mr. Thananan, causing a laceration to his upper lip. Prompt police intervention managed to separate the individuals involved.

According to Mr. Thananan’s account, he was maneuvering his minibus to drop off passengers at the theatre. As he slowed down to make a U-turn and signaled to enter the theater premises, Mr. Kritsana, on his motorcycle, purportedly failed to stop, resulting in the collision.
Both parties were summoned to provide statements at the Dongtan Police Box. Authorities were reviewing CCTV footage to ascertain liability and proceed with legal action.
