Pattaya City Invests 3.1 Billion Baht into Putting Power Lines Underground
Pattaya’s Mayor, Mr. Poramase Ngampiches, has reported significant progress in the endeavor to bury the city’s power lines, backed by a budget of 3.1 billion baht. This ambitious project entails the installation of underground power infrastructure, relocating high-voltage lines, organizing power cables, and setting up communication networks along nine key routes spanning a total distance of 20 kilometers within Pattaya.
Designated as one of four pilot cities by the Thai Cabinet in 2017 for relocating overhead wires, Pattaya aims to enhance its urban landscape and elevate the quality of life for its residents. The initiative, divided into three phases, covers nine main thoroughfares across the city, including Pattaya North Road, Pattaya Central Road, Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya One Road, Pattaya Second Road, Pattaya Third Road, Soi Buakhao, Pattaya South Road Section 1, and Pattaya South Road Section 2.
