Pattaya, July 14, 2024,-
Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens in Pattaya recently hosted a special Thai Dragon Tongue Growers Club meeting. The event focused on collecting, exchanging, and developing dragon tongue tree species for study.
Mr. Kamphon Tansajja, President of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, unveiled a groundbreaking hybrid species—a cross between the Wasana tree and the dragon tongue tree. This unique creation, developed by Thai experts, is the first of its kind globally, enhancing the diversity of exotic species available in Thailand and internationally.
Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya boasts an impressive collection of over 18,000 plant types. During the club’s visit, participants explored the Arboretum area in the foothills of Ban Dai Krit Mountain. They also viewed the dragon tongue trees on display as ideal ornamental plants for interior and exterior decoration.
These trees notably contribute to air purification, improving the surrounding environment’s quality. Visitors, including Thai and foreign tourists, can now appreciate the beauty and value of these rare plants at Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya.
The garden’s dedication to conservation and education continues to make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts.
