Heavy Rain Causes Terrible Flash Floods in Sri Racha, Chonburi

Sri Racha, Chonburi —
Heavy rain for more than 2 hours of caused flood disasters not only in a few areas of Sri Racha district, in Chonburi province on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024.

According to the Pattaya News, where reporters are themselves considered as observers of the events, a massive flood was reported at the under the Nong Yai Bu Bridge in the Nong Kho area of Nong Kham sub-district. Water levels started overspill to 1 m high which completely blocked small cars and motorcycles making them useless to pass through at all.

Pattaya News reporters gave illustration of cars submerged in floodwater which forced motorists to push this cars, clinging to handles and backpack straps. The consequence of that would be a gigantic amount of traffic jams in the particular place.



A similar story ran in other portions of the town, as well. A heavy rainfall swept Pinthong Road, Mabahang, Nongkham Sub-district, to a very extent, that floods completely flooded the whole road. The water, which ran down from the hills besides, was another source of destruction, leading to almost half of the cars to being under the water like a satellite image.

“Redirecting roads to lowlands resulted in dangerous flooding at Supalai Park Ville entrance, posing a significant hazard for drivers.”

Thai provinces, including Bangkok was remarkable as well.
