Chonburi Officials Examine Aftermath of Sri Racha Flooding
Sri Racha —
On 20th of March Mr. Chaiphon Paephiromrat, the deputy governor of Chonburi province, went to visit Sri Racha district where he shuttled down flooding-hit places and personally gave relief bags to those residents that were hit by recent flooding.
The visit is a continuation of the last undesired flood visit that took place in Sri Racha community. This is where the rivers opened and submerged many areas.
Mr. Chaiphon was accompanied by commanding officers of the district and the province which consisted of the District Chief Mr. Nopparot Sriprom and Mr. Decha Ruen-orn, who was the head of the Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Province of Chonburi.
The deputy governor visited two locations: Flood-prone residential areas such as the Plus-Na Phrao Village, polluted water in the canal, and even the drainage system in the Pinthong 1 Industrial Estate which has salting pothole problems are the main concerns.
At the inspection completion, Mr. Chaiphon ordered all responsible officials to spend an extra effort on undertaking actions to improve flooding detraction and assist flood victims. At the same time, Mr. Nopparat Sri Racha District Chief was talking about new programmes to avoid flooding in the future such as the installation of more sub drainage pipes in the areas where flooding normally occurs so as to help divert water into the public vial.
“Community regulators extend aid to flood victims with emergency food bags and organize extensive district cleaning in flood-affected areas.”
